The engraving depicts a majestic American eagle in flight, wings spread, facing forward into the wind on both sides of the receivers, surrounded by classic 19th Century scroll engraving patterns. The Silver Eagle 2nd Edition’s brightly polished nickeled frame is set off by a slightly darker immediate background for its eagle.
